edMesh offers an enhanced way to manage keyword lists, significantly improving the process of amending profile keyword lists. There are three types of keyword lists:
- edMesh Global Keyword List: Provided by edMesh when the school account is set up.
- School Keyword List: Defined and managed by the school.
- Profile Keyword List: Applies only to the specific profile in which it has been activated.
Adding and Amending the School Keyword List
Add or Amend the School Keyword List:
- Navigate to the Global Preferences section in your edMesh Dashboard.
Bulk Upload:
- Select the Bulk Upload option.
- Add your keyword list in the provided CSV format.
#Note: This list will be overwritten with each upload, so ensure the entire list is included when making changes.
The School Keyword list is now added to the school account. You will be able to see the number of keywords and see the added list when selecting the keyword number.
Add or Amend the Profile Keyword List:

- Navigate to the Profiles section in your edMesh Dashboard.
- Select the desired profile you want to set up keyword restrictions for.
- Navigate to Safe Content.
- Check the "Enable Keyword Filter" checkbox.
- Click on the "KEYWORD SETTINGS" tab.
Select Keyword Lists:
- Check the boxes for the edMesh global keyword list and the School keyword list if required.
Add Profile Keyword List:
- You can add an additional keyword list specifically for the profile.
- Keywords can be added individually or using the Bulk Keyword option.
Ensure All Lists are Checked:
If you want to use all available keyword lists, ensure all relevant boxes are checked. Unchecked lists will not be applied to the profile.
