If you encounter issues scanning the QR code during device enrollment, you can manually enrol your Android device using the Android Management API. This guide will walk you through the process step-by-step.
Continue Device Setup
- Power On the Device: Turn on your Android device and begin the initial setup process.
- Wi-Fi Connection: Connect to a stable Wi-Fi network. This connection is crucial for downloading the necessary enrollment configurations.

Enter Indetifier Code:
- Proceed through the setup until you reach the screen asking for an email address.
In the email address field, enter the following code:
afw#setup
- Follow the on-screen prompts to proceed with the setup.
Complete Initial Setup
- Automated Steps: Your device will begin to download the necessary device owner application for your management setup. Allow the process to complete.
- Device Provisioning: Once the device is provisioned, you will see a prompt indicating that your device is ready for management.
Enroll the Device

Enrol Prompt: After provisioning, the device will prompt you with the message:
"Enroll this device?"

Enter Enrollment Code Manually:
- Choose the option to Enter code manually.
- Enter the Android Management API code provided on the edMesh Dashboard.
- Follow Prompts: Complete any additional prompts to finalise the enrollment process. Your device will automatically configure itself according to the assigned policies and settings.
Completing Device Enrollment
Once you have successfully entered the API code, continue with the standard device enrollment process as outlined in the Android Onboarding: Zero-Touch (AMA) - Enrolling an Unregistered Device.
