Different schools have various policies regarding how students join classes. edMesh allows schools and teachers to decide on the best policy that suits their needs. You can set your school's Join policy, and once enabled, teachers can decide if they would like to enable Automatic class join for any of their classes. If left disabled, students can opt to join classes using the Join Class button or the Join code.
Follow the steps below to set up the Join policy before attempting to use Force Join from a classroom:
Log into the edMesh Dashboard
- Login to the edMesh dashboard using your admin credentials.
- On the left-hand side panel, click on Settings.
- In the Settings menu, click on Global Preferences.
- From the Global Preferences options, enable the sliders for:
- Automatic Class Join
- Allow teachers to override Automatic Class Join
- Click on Save Changes located at the top right corner of the screen to apply the new settings.
With these settings configured, teachers can decide if they want to enable automatic class join for their classes, or they can allow students to join manually using a join button or join code.
