Steps to Disable Android App Downloads
Sign in to Your Google Admin Console
- Open a web browser and go to the Google Admin Console.
- Sign in using your administrator account credentials.
Access Device Management
- Once logged in, select the Devices from the drop-down.
- Chrome option and Apps & extensions from the dropdown menu.
- Select the intended Organisational Unit.
- Click on User app settings to access settings for apps and extensions.
- Scroll down to the Additional App Settings heading
- In the Additional App Settings section, locate and select Android apps on Chrome devices.
- Locate the dropdown Allow users to install Android apps.
- Change the current behaviour by selecting Do not Allow from the dropdown menu.
Save Your Changes
- Once you've made the changes, a notification banner will appear at the top right of the page.
- Click Save to apply the settings and restrict Android app downloads on Chromebooks.
